Derby Mule – The Mint Julep Moscow Mule

  • 2 ounces Bulleit bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce cinnamon syrup
  • 1 dash Bitterman’s Elemekule Tiki bitters
  • 4-6 mint leaves
  • Club soda, to top
  • Maine Root ginger beer


  1. Combine bourbon, lemon juice, cinnamon simple, bitters and mint leaves in shaker.
  2. Add ice and shake.
  3. Strain over crushed ice in mule mug.
  4. Fill with ginger beer and garnish with mint.


A marriage of the Mint Julep and the Moscow Mule as a Kentucky Derby special. Two summer favorites in one!
