Mule News: The ACLU Looks To Craft Beer For Fundraising

Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit Of Great Beer

With the 4th of July fast approaching, it’s worth taking a moment to consider that for almost a century the ACLU has doggedly defended the Constitution in the courts. Recently, they coupled those legal efforts with PeoplePower, a grassroots movement to galvanize meaningful policy change at both the local and national levels.

This idea inspired many of the nation’s craft brewers to create their own interpretation of People Power Beer, in support of the ACLU and their essential work.

The below craft breweries from across the country will be launching their People Power brews from July 4th through Election Day (November 6th) in conjunction with the ACLU’s “Let People Vote” People Power campaign, which is working to expand access to the ballot in all 50 states. A full 10% of proceeds will go to this great cause, but for beer drinkers the real win is the sheer breadth of unique beers all being collected under a single umbrella.

The list of breweries participating is too long to list here, but includes some notable outfits like Mikeller, Highland Park Brewery, Cloudburst Brewing and Bearded Iris.
